BECOME A PART OF OUR RESCUE FAMILY
In Our Hands Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization that relies entirely on volunteers to ameliorate the plight of abandoned, sick, injured, or neglected animals in New York City; to promote and require spay and neuter as a means of controlling the tragic pet population problem, and to offer refuge, whenever possible, to the neediest animals, wherever they may be.
Over the past several years, In Our Hands Rescue has helped hundreds of animals find their forever homes with loving families in the New York area. The organization relies entirely on donations and volunteers. We have no paid staff and no outside funding.
In Our Hands Rescue rescues dogs and cats from shelters in the New York area as well as from other parts of the United States. Many rescued animals come from southern states because of significant overcrowding, extremely high euthanasia rates, and poor spay/neuter programs in certain areas of Georgia, Kentucky and Florida.
The organization is dedicated to helping poor, abandoned and often neglected and abused animals, regardless of their origin.
